The Lord gave, and the Lord has
taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord. Is it right that we accept good
from God and not accept adversity?
Instead of labeling good and bad in our life-the fruit of the garden that was never ours to eat-should we not instead proclaim the grace and thank the Giver of all good things?

Thanks Alysa, I needed that today. When things don't work out according to my own set human "plan", I am so apt to complain to God and doubt His goodness rather than trust that He is leading in deep and mysterious ways, greater than I could ever know, and if I only would trust in His eternal goodness and faithfulness instead of only asking for the smooth waves and green pastures, then maybe I could truly sing "Blessed be your name" with a pure heart. Lord guide this broken vessel by your incredible grace...
