What do Christians look like?

How Christians are identified.

They might be someone who smiles a lot, and goes to church. They don't like homosexuals or fornicators, and might be considered by some (themselves included) to be authorities on subjects such as drinking or gambling. They are happy, and never grumpy or worried or stressed or depressed because they have Jesus, and He fixes all of their problems because they love Him. They also do not struggle with worldly problems like pornography, depression, anger, lust, love of money, fear, unforgiveness, loneliness, control, manipulation, substance abuse, etc. At least, they have them mostly under control, because again, they have Jesus, and walking in victory means not struggling. They do not question God, and they do not have disagreements over Biblical subjects. They are well mannered, polite, and think as they are told. You can identify them through their use of Christianese lingo and submersion into the Christian subculture. Words and phrases are unique, but not limited to, specific age groups. Some good indicator words for middle school to high school age are "waiting on God's timing", "testimony", "God's will for my life", God is good"(always spoken with fervor and crazed look), and "God will never let you down". Other such phrases/words as mini Christians develop into big Christians are "God's calling", "God writes my love story", "I have a heart for ___", "plugged into fellowship", "God is all you need", and the timeless "I'll pray for you". They often have Bible verses on their facebook status's, and shop at the Christian bookstore, and listen to Christian radio/music artists such as Stephen Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith, Relient K, Thousand Foot Crutch. They do not get piercings. They do not get tattoos. They do not spend time with unwholesome people. They do not curse. They go to youth group, or small group, or fellowship group, and Bible study. They're always leaders, and always have the correct answer on hand. They raise their hands a lot when they sing, and close their eyes as they are quite obviously transported into some otherworldly state of blissful existence.

How Jesus said Christians are identified.

John 13:35 "By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love(agape) for one another".

Oh. Right.
